Larks on a String
Larks on a String (Czech: Skřivánci na niti) is a 1969 film directed by Jiří Menzel, which was banned by the Czechoslovak government and not released until 1990, whereupon it won the Golden Bear at the 40th Berlin International Film Festival. The movie follows a handful of characters working in a junkyard for the purposes of re-education during the 1950s.
